#138: Rashomon

Collaboration is a difficult process, and as an artist there are rarely situations that require more skill for collaboration than when people are putting on an independent theatrical production.  While trying to stage a play I wrote, I encountered resistance from actors who disagreed with where the project was going, and it wasn’t until I read Kurosawa’s notes on filming Rashomon that I had a healthy perspective on it.
